B´nei Akiva Denmark
B´nei Akiva in Copenhagen was established around 1934. Though we are an independent organization, we co-operate with B´nei Akiva in other Scandinavian cities (Oslo, Stockholm, Malmö og Göteborg). Only Jews can be members of B´nei Akiva Copenhagen. Every Jew has, however, the right to be member no matter how religious (or irreligious) he/she may be B´nei Akiva is led by a board (elected by the members every year in March). The board consists of a chairman, a vicechairman, a cashier, a secretary, and 5 other members. B´nei Akivas board (elected March, 2006) consists of: Ilan Melchior (chairman), Samuel Goldstein (vicechairman and webmaster), Bat-El Menadeva (cashier), Debbie Lewinsky (secretery), Noomi Dessauer, Daphna Blüdnikow, Michelle Reuveni and Jakob Hirsch. Furthermore our shlichah ("ambassador" for Jewish Agency), Deetza Shoham helps us in organizing activities.
